Founding Scholar
Emmanuel Ojo is a Founding Scholar at Academy. He joined the programme after studying Economics at Nottingham University. Emmanuel moved into a career in Investment Banking before joining Academy.
“When I first heard of Academy, I was one and a half years into a career in investment banking that I’d strived very hard to achieve...I’d however come to realise that it wasn’t a fulfilling pathway for me. This led me to wonder why it is that people who are told they will be high achievers from a young age, often end up trapped on traditional career paths, which don’t allow them to take risks, be early-leaders, or utilise their creativity.
When the Academy opportunity landed in front of me, it stood apart from those more traditional career paths. I see Academy as an organisation that delivers the tools needed to build amazing products, whilst matching great candidates to positions where they’re able to take high levels of responsibility and work within teams that are defining the direction of leading tech companies.”
